Match:  Knutsford 3 Home to CLUB AP2

Last game of the season , with promotion in the bag , could a 10^th win out of 10 in the second half overhaul Club AZ in top spot ? to be crowned champions !!

First on at 5 Snapey sporting his new designer haircut , and he was at his razor sharp best giving his opponent no Clewes , and a 3-0 opener .

Steve O'Hare at promoted to no.1 and had to be on his best to conquer Phil 3-1 , with a few close games . Great second half from Steve .

Tony next at 3 against a lady ( his worse nightmare ) and her appearance confirmed the court was getting cold . Fortunately Tony didn't spot these , and despite 2 9-10 reverses , our man's record took a hit 3-0 .

So to Smithy at 2 brandishing one of his shiny new wands ! ( would it last the match Jacko pondered ) well no unfortunately Dave touched the wall and he was left with Steve's racquet to waltz home 3-0 .

Finally the athletic Tim strode onto court at 4 , could he get opponent Rob off his back ! . Great show from Tim and another 3-0 .

A tasty chilli to conclude the evening - once we were able to get in the kitchen .

So did we make it as champions ? Well despite beating Club AZ home and away we just missed top spot , but were miles clear of Crewe in third .

AZ - 345 , Knuts - 334 , Crewe - 296 .

Team photo at team dinner next Friday ( so have a shave Snapey ) and we'll get our torso's in the Guardian ( along with Smithy and Tim's mobile for Amber lounge rendevous' with Knutsfords finest !)

Thanks to Gary for stepping up to the seconds even though his opponent did not show on the night - poor .
